As my friend and I sat beside Shawnigan River, I realized that Beshurra, one of my spirit guides, wanted to connect with me through trance. The message he shared was for myself and my friend, but I thought it would resonate with a wide variety of people, so I decided to share it.
Becoming still enables us to be receptive to all that is meant for us.

As soon as I was received a call from the care centre telling me that my mother had passed on, I called my twin sister, Karen. Before we had a chance to say goodbye, the call terminated. I had been on my way to meet with Karen at a nearby walking trail when I had received the call, so I did not call Karen to finish the conversation. I met with her shortly afterwards and she told me that when the call terminated, she suddenly realized her daughter, Heather, was on the line.
She apparently said to Heather, “I can’t believe you called me right now!” Karen described herself as surprised when Heather said, “I didn’t call you, you called me.” I immediately received an intuitive message that our father, who had passed on ten years ago, had connected them by phone.

You never know what loved ones in spirit can do until you let them show you.

Loved ones in spirit are masterminds at manipulating electrical devices. Ask them to turn your lights off as a sign of their presence.

Turning lights off and on are only one of the many ways your loved ones may demonstrate their presence. If you are receptive, you will notice many others.

You’ve been using your intuition since you were a small child. It may have been as simple as choosing which child to play with. You may have used your intuition to make many of your decisions, such as what to wear, where to live, what education to pursue, what job to accept or who to spend time with. Intuition may be used in an instant without you even noticing that you used it. If you pay attention to your intuition, you will become more able to make decisions that are in your best interests. When something draws your attention or “lights up” for you, this is your intuition letting you know that this is important. You may let this help you to make intuitive decisions. Think about a decision you are trying to make and write three solutions for it, one on each of three blank index cards. Turn the cards so the blank side is facing you, mix them up so you don’t know what is written on them and lay them face-down. Notice which one you are most drawn to or hold your hands over each card and notice any sensations or information you receive. Turn over the cards and read the answers. When you close your eyes do you see colors? If you see variations in color, regardless of whether they are only shades of gray, try separating them. Remain quiet and focused. Can you see a vision of a spirit guide? These visions may be fleeting in the beginning, but with practice, you will be able to make them last longer. Your spirit guides will remove obstacles and create opportunities for you, but sometimes you must ask for their help in order to receive it. You may ask for a sign to help you to make a decision. Ask them to bring you something or ensure that an event goes smoothly. They will bring people into your life to assist you. Your spirit guides will not do anything to interfere with your life lessons, but the possibilities are endless otherwise. What could you ask for help with today? The more you strive to receive an intuitive message, the less likely you are to receive it. You have to let go and simply let intuitive messages come to you. I cancelled a workshop as I was sick with a cold. I soon knew everything would be well. I found a brand new sparkly and shiny dime and received the message, Everything is sparkly and shiny.
When I realized I needed to change the name of my An Evening With Spirit events to include daytime I knew I was going to use a name that nobody else used. It took a couple of days to come up with a name. I was walking in a clear cut area beside the forest and I noticed a white-crowned sparrow sitting on a branch on the ground. I thought, What a cute little bird sitting there. I walked away and soon thought, Sit With Spirit. I knew instantly that this would become the new name for my connecting with loved ones in spirit events.
Using your intuition needs to be effortless. This is the only way your natural intuitive ability is able to come through and shine.

As you strive to develop patience, it is important to trust your intuition. When you are intuitively confident that something is going to turn out positively, you will feel more patient. Confidence in your intuition is developed through trusting the messages you receive and discovering that the information is correct. This requires practice. It is only through repeatedly using your intuition that you will develop confidence in your intuitive ability and develop more patience.

You have the opportunity to choose between forgiveness and resentment. You may believe that holding onto these feelings ensures that you do not subject yourself to similar experiences. This is ineffective, because we attract what we fear. Forgiveness, on the other hand, permits you to let go and focus on more positive events in your life, so you may attract more of the same. You have the gift of intuition. You receive intuitive messages, sometimes without knowing it. When you reach for a piece of clothing in your wardrobe, this may occur in response to an intuitive message. You later decide you are glad you dressed the way you did, as you would have otherwise been too hot or cold. It may or may not register that your intuition was involved. Many of the spontaneous decisions you make are based on your intuition. The more you acknowledge your intuitive insight, the more confidence you will have in your intuition.
